Asia consists of 50 countries and contains 60% of the world’s population. (In comparison, the USA has less than 4% of the world’s population.)
Inexplicably, in spite of the overwhelming population dominance, Asia remains the world’s most scarcely evangelized region.
- Approximately 43% of Asians are idol worshipers. Sadly, their so-called “gods” have no eyes to see, nor ears to hear their prayers.
- About 26%, worship the Muslim god, Allah.
- Another 24% express no religious preference.
- Less than 7% of Asians identify with any form of Christianity.
Jesus said “This gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” (Matthew 24:14)
We know that this prophecy shall come to pass.
The question is, how will we get the job done?
The answer is laborers!
Team Asia is dedicated to the cause of reaching Asia with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
By human estimation, achieving Jesus’ Great Commission in Asia seems all but unachievable, but we know that with God, all things are possible!
Jesus gave us clear instructions on how to achieve His objective of giving everyone a chance to hear the saving gospel:
Go! …”into all the world…” Mark 16:15
Teach! …”all nations…” Matthew 28:19
Preach! …”the gospel to every creature…” Mark 16:15

Short Term Missions / “Adopt a Country”
Perhaps God isn’t calling you to be a lifelong resident missionary, but there are several other ways you may be able to have an impact. Are you a capable minister / teacher? Can you donate 2 to 4 weeks per year to train church workers and/or pastors in a foreign country?
There are several fields in Asia that would be greatly benefited by missionary teams coming a few times a year.
Common needs in fields where there are existing Apostolic works, but no resident missionary include:
- Strengthening in Apostolic doctrine & holiness.
- Encouragement for pastors and congregations.
- Motivation and instruction in Evangelism.
- Training and resources for developing new converts into Disciples of Christ.
- Tips on church set up and management.
- Leadership development and training.
- Help with organizational structure. Bylaws, districts, officers, elections, etc.
- Church planting strategies.
- Revival meetings.
Perhaps God will lay a nation on your heart where you can have a big impact in reaching them with the gospel!
Student Missionary Program
Recently graduated? Searching for God’s direction for your life? Why not dedicate two years of your life to the cause of gospel?
Spend the first year receiving world class training in Apostolic doctrine, Christian living, discipleship training, leadership development, church management, missiology, and much more, being involved in real missions work – in a foreign country!
Then, after your initial training, give the next year to working in missions, either at home or abroad, while under the tutelage of a seasoned pastor or missionary.
What’s the downside?
At “worst”, you will have gained priceless knowledge and insights from that time that you will remember positively for the rest of your life.
On the flip side, it may be that God’s purpose and direction for your life became clear during your time on the front lines of world missions.
Internships
Internships typically last 3 to 6 months and are a great way to get “hands on” experience in an actual mission field, while feeling out God’s direction for our life.
You’ll get a chance to learn from the resident missionary and his family, and the national ministry team, while being a help to that missionary and their work.
